Graduate students: positions available for both experimental and analytical projects described in the Research page.

Postdoc position: The Li lab is searching for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow in genetic studies of complex human diseases. Possible projects associated with this position include genomewide studies of psychiatric disorders, molecular profiling of cancer, applications of "next-generation" sequencing technologies in these studies, and development of statistical and bioinformatic tools to combine population genetics and disease gene mapping. Candidates with strong background in statistical genetics, epidemiology, or experimental biology are encouraged to apply. Those with training in mathematics or computer sciences and interests in the genetic basis of complex traits are also welcome. The fellow is expected to also benefit from close interactions with members of the Department of Human Genetics, the Center for Statistical Genetics and the Center for Computational Biology and Medicine. Applicants should write to junzli@umich.edu with the CV, a statement of research interests, and names of at least three references. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.
